Digital Summer is a unmistakable five piece rock band originating from Phoenix, Arizona. Made up of heavy/melodic guitars and raw emotional vocals, Digital Summer creates an edgy, powerful, yet soothing tone for a radio friendly world. Influenced by multiple music genres, Digital Summer is a rock band to the core, not a “trend” by any means. In less than two years Digital Summer has made an impressive impact on the music scene with their professional songwriting ability, aggressively entertaining live show and seemingly endless promotional antics.
Unlike most unsigned bands, Digital Summer has had 3 singles make it into rotational play on major market radio (SiriusXM Octane 20, 98Kupd AZ, Rock1061 GA, Banana1015 MI…just to name a few), “Whatever it takes”, "Disconnect” and the current single “Just Run” have been among the top requested songs on each station. “Just Run” is currently #1 in rotation per research on 98Kupd, and has been for over six weeks straight.
Aside from sharing the stage with bands like Alice in Chains, Godsmack, Deftones, Disturbed, Five Finger Death Punch, Theory of a Dead Man, Tantric and many more, Digital Summer has also toured nationally with Sevendust and Drowning Pool. While touring they received an overwhelming response and even out sold the headliner in merchandise on several occasions (Dates listed below). Digital Summer has been featured in multiple publications and gained an enormous amount of press, including making the cover of the Phoenix New Times for not only their live show, but their noticeably insane work ethic.
Digital Summer is not your “typical” rock band by a long shot. Along with pushing the band 24/7, front man Kyle Winterstein is currently a Firefighter/Paramedic/Technical Rescue Specialist. His brother, Ian Winterstein (Guitar) is also a Paramedic. Guitarist “Fish” Cenfield is a teacher and bassist “Guido” Hernandez (Sponsored by Spector) is finishing his business degree in marketing. Ben Anderson on drums is a studio engineer and is currently sponsored by Pearl and Vic Firth.
All the members share the same passion for music and performing that drives their business sense guiding Digital Summer to new heights at an ever-increasing speed. Keep an eye out, the seasons are changing and Digital Summer is here to stay.
Digital Summer’s debut album “Cause and Effect”, acoustic EP/DVD “Hollow” and new release “Counting the Hours” are all available on iTunes and at select Bestbuy, Hot Topic and Zia Records.
